CARLOS

I have just had lunch.

SHOP ASSISTANT - CINTHIA

(SERIOUSLY SMILING)

What has it got to do? What has the present time got to do with lunch?

CARLOS

(NERVOUSLY HESITATING)

It was… a few minutes ago...

A few minutes ago… it was one o’oclock. It can’ t be.

F/X: (INDOORS. SOUND OF CARLOS STEPS AS HE LEAVES THE SHOP. AS THE DOOR OPENS, TRAFFIC SOUND, PEDESTRIAN SOUND ALL COME BACK TO THE INTERIOR OF THE SHOP. DOOR OPENS AGAIN. FOOTSTEPS ATE THE SAME. THEY ARE CARLOS’S; HOWEVER, THEY PRODUCE A THUD ON THE SHOP FLOOR.)
